FRIday, May 24 - Woodford Wag Packet Pickup, 3-6pm at our Adoption Center. 

Saturday, May 25 - Woodford Wag presented by Woodford Vet Clinic Kennel. Cross Country 5K and 2K Walk/Run. 8:30 am 5K timed by John's Run/Walk Shop; 8:45 dog walk/run. Woodford County Park behind Falling Springs Recreation Center off Beasley Road in Versailles. Registration opens in March. 

MONday, MAY 27 - Memorial Day. Woodford Humane Society is closed for the holiday.

SATURDAY, JUNE 15 - Dine to Donate, Addies at the Woodford Inn. All day. Enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner in a beautiful, historic bed and breakfast. Addie's will donate 10% of your bill to the animals! Addie's at the Woodford Inn, 140 Park Street, Versailles, 859.873.5600.

THursday, June 27 - Sneak Preview Party, Headley-Whitney Museum, 6-8 pm, 4435 Old Frankfort PIke. Join us for the opening of the Scenes of Darley art exhibit and auction, part of the Freedom Fest Celebration. View and bid on original works from more than 40 artists and photographers and visit with adoptable animals. Free to attend. Click here for more information.

FRIday, September 20  - Sniff & Mingle, hosted by Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Be the first to see our 2014 engagement calendar featuring pets. Free to attend. Friendly dogs on leash welcome.

Sunday, October 13 - Iron Horse Half Marathon. Held in historic Midway, Kentucky. Registration opens March 1. Click here for more information. 

TUesday, October 15 - Volunteer Orientation, 6:30-8pm in our Adoption Center. Learn about all the ways you can help the animals, see our facility and meet our pets and staff. Space is limited; please email Katie to register.

Sunday, October 20 - Canine Olympics. Woodford County Park at Falling Springs Recreation Center. Registration at noon, games 1-5 pm. Dogs go for the gold in all kinds of competitions, both athletic and aesthetic. Shop the Olympic Village and enjoy concessions. Free to watch. Fee per dog, per event. Downloadable sign up form will be available closer to the event; please check back.
